The I'm a Wisconsin Dairy Farmer Series
One Foot After Another
Renee Clark’s office is a front-end loader. She spends several hours driving it every day. As she says, “There used to be a lot more of a barrier, like women can’t be farmers. And I think that has really changed over the last few years. There’s a lot more empowering of women. I think it’s only going to get stronger as the year goes on.”
Some speculate that Renee is secretly a superhero. After all, she’s also an avid marathon runner and the mom of three little girls who follow her around in tutus and work boots. “I hope that they can see that women can do anything that they want to do. I’m a farmer and I’m a woman. I’m a runner and I’m a mom. You can be more than one thing.”
